Description
The PowerMaster Polo is a 325mm IP65-rated bulkhead body built from white ABS plastic with a polycarbonate diffuser designed to house circular bulkhead light sources in outdoor and damp environments. The IP65 rating provides protection against dust ingress and low-pressure water jets, making it suitable for installation in garages, exterior building entrances, covered pathways, carports and porch canopies.
Designed for Zone 1, 2 and 3 bathroom installation (not Zone 0, which is submerged areas), the bulkhead body accepts standard circular bulkhead lamps or LED modules up to 17.5W. The polycarbonate diffuser is impact-resistant and UV-stable, holding clarity under prolonged sunlight exposure better than acrylic alternatives. The white ABS base resists cracking in cold temperatures and withstands mounting on brick, block, rendered or timber surfaces.
The 325mm diameter gives broad light spread for illuminating doorways, garden shed entrances or side-alley access routes where overhead pendant fittings are impractical. The shallow-profile body projects approximately 80-100mm from the mounting surface, keeping the fitting clear of door swings and reducing the risk of accidental knocks. The white finish provides a neutral backdrop that suits both residential and light-commercial settings without drawing visual attention from the light source itself.

Frequently Asked
Can this be used outdoors?
Yes. The IP65 rating protects against dust and water jets, making it suitable for covered outdoor locations such as porches, carports, garden sheds and garage exteriors. It should not be installed in fully exposed locations subject to driving rain without overhead shelter.
Is the bulkhead body suitable for bathrooms?
It is suitable for use in bathroom Zones 1, 2 and 3, which cover areas away from direct shower or bath spray. It is not rated for Zone 0, which is the area inside a bath or shower tray where fittings may be submerged.
What light source does it take?
The body accepts circular bulkhead lamps or LED modules up to 17.5W. The lamp or module is sold separately. Check the inner diameter and mounting style of your chosen light source before purchase to confirm compatibility.
What material is the diffuser?
The diffuser is polycarbonate, which is more impact-resistant than acrylic and retains clarity under prolonged UV exposure. The base is ABS plastic, chosen for its resistance to cracking in cold outdoor temperatures.
