Description
The Knightsbridge DC014 is a wireless doorbell kit with two IP55-rated bell pushes and a plug-in mains-powered receiver. The bell pushes operate on 433MHz RF and are powered by 12V 23A batteries (included), while the receiver plugs directly into a standard 230V UK socket and outputs sound up to 110dB across 58 selectable ringtones.
Designed for properties with front and rear entrances, the kit allows both bell pushes to trigger the same receiver without running cable between door locations and the chime unit. The bell pushes can be screw-mounted or fixed with the included double-sided adhesive pads, making them suitable for rental properties, temporary installations, or door frames where drilling is impractical. Each bell push carries an IP55 rating, protecting against dust ingress and water jets, so they function in exposed porch and exterior door positions.
The receiver features a learning code system that pairs only with its supplied bell pushes, preventing interference from neighbouring wireless doorbells or other 433MHz devices. A visual LED alert flashes when the bell is pressed, providing notification when the audible chime cannot be heard across larger properties or in noisy environments. The receiver draws less than 0.3W on standby and the bell pushes consume less than 10mW per press, giving approximately 12-18 months of battery life under typical residential use.
Range is specified at 150-200m in open space, though walls, metal structures and wireless interference reduce effective distance in most homes. In typical UK cavity-wall construction, expect reliable operation across 20-30m between bell push and receiver, covering most two-storey properties when the receiver is centrally positioned. The white finish on both bell pushes and receiver suits neutral door surrounds and interior walls without drawing attention to the hardware.

Frequently Asked
What is the effective range in a typical home?
The kit is rated at 150-200m in open space, but walls, metal structures and wireless interference reduce this. In typical UK cavity-wall construction, expect reliable operation across 20-30m between bell push and receiver, which covers most two-storey properties when the receiver is centrally positioned.
Can additional bell pushes be paired to the receiver?
The receiver uses a learning code system and can pair with additional compatible bell pushes beyond the two supplied. Refer to the product manual for pairing instructions or contact Knightsbridge for compatible additional bell push models.
How long do the batteries last?
Each bell push uses one 12V 23A battery (included) and draws less than 10mW per press. Under typical residential use (10-20 presses per day), expect approximately 12-18 months of battery life before replacement is needed.
Is the receiver suitable for outdoor use?
No. The receiver is for indoor use only and plugs into a standard 230V mains socket. The bell pushes carry an IP55 rating and are suitable for exposed exterior door positions, but the receiver must be installed indoors.
