Description

This PIR motion sensor (article MERGE JQ-L) is a passive infrared detector that switches connected lighting on automatically when it senses movement, then off again once the area is clear. It runs on a 220-240V AC supply and measures 83 x 55 x 83 mm, in a white plastic housing that sits neatly against a wall or ceiling. Use it to add hands-free, occupancy-based control to hallways, landings, stairwells and storerooms.

Rated IP20, it is built for dry indoor positions only and should be kept out of damp, exposed or outdoor locations. The compact 83mm body keeps the detector unobtrusive once fitted, and it wires in line with the load it controls. We also stock a range of other PIR motion sensors and daylight sensors to suit different detection ranges and mounting positions.

It is a passive infrared sensor that responds to movement across its field of view from a wall or ceiling position. Aim the housing across the area you want covered and test the throw on site, as range depends on mounting height and approach direction.

What is the maximum load it can switch?
