Description

The Pepple is a small rechargeable table lamp in powder-coated aluminium, 8cm across and 17.5cm tall, in a soft beige. Its form is simple: a flared, cone-like base rises to a slim stem, which carries a low domed head with a lit band set beneath it, so the glow falls downwards onto the surface around it. A 1.5W LED is fitted and included. That makes this a lamp for a gentle pool of light on a table or shelf rather than for lighting a whole room. At 0.274KG it is light enough to pick up with one hand.

Because it runs on a rechargeable battery, it needs no socket beside it once charged. That frees it for the places a corded lamp cannot reach: the middle of a dining table, a bookshelf, a hallway console or a bedside table where the socket is on the wrong side. At this size it sits comfortably on a shelf between books and ornaments. It is rated IP54, and we like it on a garden table on a summer evening, carried back indoors when the evening is over. It suits anyone who wants a little light where they sit without running a lead across the room.

The body is 100% aluminium with a powder-coated finish and a matt look, with the domed head and the base in the same beige.
