These stoneware bowls come as a set of two, each 11.5cm across and 6.5cm tall and holding 320ml. That is a useful everyday size: roomy enough for a breakfast of yoghurt and fruit, a portion of rice or a helping of pudding, yet compact enough to sit neatly beside a dinner plate. The pattern is multicoloured, mixing stripes, dots and small floral motifs over the inside and the outside, so the bowls look as good from above on the table as they do from the side on an open shelf. Each one sits on a neat, narrow foot.
