Description

A set of four round glass baubles, each 8cm across, in copper. The colour sits rose at the shoulder, lightens to a pale warm gold through the middle of the sphere and deepens again to copper brown at the base. The whole surface is speckled and pitted, laid on in layers rather than sprayed flat. A domed metal cap and ring close the top, and a soft ribbon with a napped surface is knotted through the ring in a pale tan.

The four measure 8cm in every direction. Hung from a bare branch with lights behind, the pale gold band through the middle of each sphere is what picks that light up. They go on a tree, into a wreath or along a table.

Each bauble is blown by hand from recycled glass and then given its patina in layers, so the rose runs further down one sphere than the next and the pitting never falls the same way twice. The ribbons are plain. Four come in a set.
