Description

A set of four napkin rings, each built on a ring of twisted iron wound closely with fine brass wire. Above the band sits a spray of glass leaves running from clear amber through to a deep reddish brown, every leaf moulded with a raised vein down its centre and a fan of finer veins either side. Two clusters of small pale wooden beads are tucked in among them. Each ring measures 12cm at its widest.

A napkin pulled through the band leaves the spray standing over the fold, with the leaves angled forward. Four of them dress a table for four. The leaves spread sideways rather than standing up off the band, so the rings stack flat when the table is cleared and take almost no drawer depth.

The ring is iron, twisted from fine wires and coated before the brass wire is wound over it. The leaves are glass and the beads are wood, and both are set on by hand. The wider Parili range runs to a glass wreath in two sizes and a candle holder.
