Description
The Palta is a 876mm circular pendant light with nine E14 bulb sockets arranged evenly around a champagne bronze ring frame, each bulb facing outward from the circle. The ring hangs horizontally from a 200mm ceiling canopy on three steel suspension wires, each adjustable between 260mm and 1855mm, allowing the pendant to be set at different heights for different ceiling configurations and room functions.
Designed for dining tables in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or higher, the Palta also suits entrance halls, large kitchen islands and open-plan living areas where a central suspended fitting provides ambient light without blocking sightlines. The nine-bulb configuration delivers even light distribution around the circle, with each bulb contributing to both the direct downward throw and the horizontal glow that reflects off nearby walls and ceilings. The fixture accepts E14 candle or golf-ball bulbs up to 40W each (sold separately), giving flexibility in colour temperature and light output.
The champagne bronze finish is a warm metallic tone midway between brushed brass and antique copper, sitting closer to gold than silver on the spectrum. The ring frame itself measures approximately 50mm in section depth, giving the fitting enough visual weight to anchor a 3-4m dining table or island without appearing heavy when viewed from below. The three-point suspension keeps the ring horizontal and stable, with the wires spaced 120° apart around the canopy. The absence of a central column or hub means the fixture reads as a clean geometric form rather than a traditional chandelier structure.
From Kichler, a US lighting manufacturer known for architectural and residential fittings, the Palta is part of a broader range of circular and linear suspension designs. The champagne finish pairs comfortably with warm wood tones, mid-century furniture and contemporary interiors using brass, copper or gold accent details.

Frequently Asked
What bulbs does it take?
The Palta takes nine E14 bulbs up to 40W each, sold separately. Most users pair this with LED candle or golf-ball bulbs between 4-6W and 2700K-3000K for warm ambient dining light. The bulbs are visible around the ring, so decorative filament styles work well.
What ceiling height is needed?
The minimum drop of 260mm plus the 109mm fitting height means a total of 369mm from ceiling to the bottom of the ring. For a dining table the pendant typically hangs 700-900mm above the surface, so a ceiling height of 2.4m or above is needed. The wires extend to 1855mm maximum for higher ceilings or entrance halls.
How is the drop adjusted?
Each of the three suspension wires feeds through the ceiling canopy and can be shortened or lengthened during installation. The adjustment is made once during fitting and the excess wire is concealed in the canopy. The ring must be kept horizontal, so all three wires should be set to equal length.
Is the champagne finish the same as brass?
Champagne bronze is a warm metallic tone closer to gold than brass, sitting between brushed brass and antique copper on the spectrum. It has less yellow than polished brass and less red than pure copper, giving it a softer, more neutral warmth.
