Description

The Kichler Palta is a 1219mm circular suspension light with ten E14 bulb fittings arranged on radial arms extending from a central ring frame, finished in satin black. The fixture hangs on four fine suspension wires from a 186mm diameter ceiling canopy, with an adjustable drop between 438mm and 1200mm to suit ceiling heights from 2.4m to 3.5m. Each of the ten arms terminates in a bulb fitting that sits proud of the ring, creating a symmetrical radial pattern when viewed from below.

Designed for open-plan dining areas with round or oval tables, the Palta works particularly well centred above a 1.2-1.5m diameter table where the circular footprint mirrors the table shape and the even distribution of light sources eliminates hard shadows. The fixture also suits lounge seating zones with a central coffee table, entrance halls with round rugs, or vaulted foyers where the symmetry anchors the vertical space. The 1200mm maximum drop allows the ring to be lowered to 700-800mm above a table surface in rooms with typical 2.7-3m ceiling heights, or shortened to 600-700mm in lower-ceilinged spaces.

The satin black finish is a low-sheen powder coat that absorbs rather than reflects ambient light, giving the metal frame a consistent matte appearance under daylight and artificial lighting.
