The Ovila Small is a 20cm fluted glass pendant in a warm cognac tone, suspended from a polished chrome ceiling plate on an adjustable cable. The oval glass shade features vertical ribbing that refracts light through the amber-toned glass, creating a warm diffused glow when lit. An E27 bulb fitting inside the shade takes standard screw bulbs up to 20W, and the fitting includes 1 x E27 8W bulb so it arrives ready to use.

Designed for hallways, entryways, above compact dining tables and in reading corners, the Ovila works as a single pendant or in clusters of two or three at staggered heights. The adjustable drop ranges from 45cm minimum to 200cm maximum, allowing the pendant to be tailored to ceiling height and the intended position above furniture. The 20cm diameter suits spaces where a full-size pendant would dominate, and the cognac glass adds warmth without needing a specific colour temperature from the bulb.

The vertical fluting on the glass surface catches ambient daylight and creates a shimmer effect under artificial light, while the oval shape gives the pendant a more organic profile than a simple sphere or cylinder. What bulb does the Ovila take?

The pendant takes a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb up to 20W. It comes with 1 x E27 8W bulb included, so the fitting is ready to use straight away. The warm output at around 2700K complements the amber tone of the cognac glass.

Can the drop height be adjusted after installation?

Yes. The cable can be shortened or lengthened within the 45-200cm range during installation. Once the pendant is wired and the ceiling plate is fixed, adjusting the height requires removing the ceiling plate to access the cable grip.

Does the cognac glass colour affect the light output?

The amber-toned glass filters the light and reduces overall brightness compared to a clear or frosted shade. The fluted ribbing diffuses the light evenly, but the warm glass tone makes the pendant better suited to ambient lighting than task lighting.

Can multiple Ovila pendants be clustered together?

Yes. The 20cm diameter allows two or three Ovila pendants to be hung at staggered heights over a dining table, kitchen island or in a stairwell without crowding. Each pendant requires its own ceiling rose and wiring point.
