Otuba Ribbed Wine Glasses - Clear - Set of 4

A set of four wine glasses hand blown from recycled glass, 19cm tall and holding 450ml each. The bowl is a deep tulip, ribbed in straight vertical flutes that run from the foot of the bowl right up to the rim, and it stands on a short plain stem and a round flat foot. The flutes are shallow and evenly spaced, so the light breaks into vertical lines down the side of the bowl while the glass stays clear enough to read the wine through.

At 450ml this is a large wine glass rather than a small one, and at 19cm it stands tall on a laid table. Lined up on a linen runner, the glasses read almost colourless against it. They are dishwasher safe and food safe, so the set belongs on the everyday table rather than behind a cabinet door.

The glass is recycled. Waste glass is collected, crushed and melted down before it is blown. The flutes come from the mould the glass is blown into, so the depth of the ribbing varies a little from glass to glass. The Otuba range also runs to champagne flutes, tumblers, highballs and a jug in the same clear glass.
