Description

A set of four champagne glasses, each 21cm tall and 5.5cm across, hand blown from recycled glass. The bowl is a tall narrow flute, ribbed in close vertical lines from its base up to a plain band at the rim, where it opens out very slightly. It stands on a short stem and a plain round foot. Each glass holds 300ml.

At 21cm these stand taller than a tumbler and are the tallest glass in a laid setting. Four are supplied, which sets a table for four. The Otuba range runs a tumbler, a highball, a wine glass and a jug in the same ribbed recycled glass, so the rest of the table can be set to match. The glass is food safe.

Each glass is hand blown from recycled glass by makers working in a traditional way. The ribbing comes from the mould the glass is blown into rather than being cut into the surface afterwards. Because each one is blown by hand, no two in the set are exactly alike.

Frequently Asked

How many glasses are supplied?

Four.

How much does each one hold?

300ml.

Can they go in the dishwasher?

No. They are hand wash only.

Is the glass recycled?

Yes. The waste glass is collected and washed to remove impurities, then crushed and melted down before it is blown.

How do I look after them?

Wash them after every use so they do not stain, using a mild detergent, and do not leave them to soak. They are blown by hand, so handle them with care.
