Description
The Oslo is a 2-light outdoor lamp post built from galvanised steel with a matt black powder-coated finish, standing at an adjustable height between 1700mm and 2380mm. Two curved arms extend from the central column, each supporting a tiered polycarbonate shade housing an E27 bulb fitting. The IP55 rating protects the internal wiring and lamp holders from dust ingress and low-pressure water jets, making the post suitable for exposed front gardens, driveways and pathways including coastal locations.
Designed for installation on paved or concreted areas, the Oslo requires a ground-mounted base plate (included) and suitable electrical supply run underground or through conduit to the lamp post location. The two E27 fittings accept standard Edison screw bulbs up to 60W each (bulbs sold separately), giving flexibility to choose warm-white LED, vintage filament or halogen light sources depending on the desired ambience. The 740mm width between the two lamp heads provides balanced light spread across a 3-4m driveway width or can frame either side of a front entrance.
The tiered polycarbonate shades diffuse the light from the bulbs while directing most output downwards and outwards, reducing glare for neighbours and passing vehicles. The galvanised steel construction resists corrosion in wet and salt-laden coastal air, and Norlys backs the Oslo with a 5-year guarantee with no coastal restrictions. The matt black finish pairs with slate, charcoal render, dark timber cladding and contemporary brick builds without competing visually with the architecture.

Frequently Asked
What bulbs does the Oslo take?
Each of the two lamp heads takes a standard E27 Edison screw bulb up to 60W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most installations use warm-white LED bulbs between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K for outdoor path lighting.
Is it suitable for coastal locations?
Yes. The galvanised steel construction resists corrosion in salt-laden coastal air, and Norlys provides a 5-year guarantee with no coastal restrictions. The IP55 rating protects internal components from driven rain and sea spray.
How is the lamp post installed?
The Oslo ships with a ground-mounted base plate that must be fixed to a concrete or paved surface using suitable masonry fixings. Electrical supply must be run underground or through conduit to the lamp post location. Installation requires a qualified electrician.
Can the height be adjusted after installation?
The height is adjustable between 1700mm and 2380mm during installation by sliding the central column to the desired position before tightening the locking collar. Once installed and tightened, the height remains fixed unless the lamp post is disassembled.
