Description

We stock the Orign as a rectangular LED wall light in black, 607mm in its long dimension. The black metal frame holds a slate-effect inner panel, and an integrated 55W LED runs around the inner perimeter to give 800 lumens of warm white 3000K light. Part of the light washes forward across the textured panel and part glows out around the edge of the frame, so it reads as a soft band of light rather than a single bright point.

We fit this one where a projecting bulb fitting would sit too far off the wall, such as hallways, stairwells, living rooms and hotel corridors. The 120 degree spread and the mix of forward wash and edge glow give even, ambient coverage without harsh shadows, so it works both as a piece to look at and as usable light. The 90 CRI rating keeps colours accurate, which helps in rooms where artwork, fabric or interior finishes need to look right.

The LED is integrated, so there is no bulb to buy or replace. It wires straight to the mains and runs on standard UK 220-240V 50Hz AC, and it is rated IP20 for indoor use in dry rooms. The light is not dimmable, giving a fixed warm 3000K output, and it carries a G energy class.

Frequently Asked

Does it take a bulb?

No. The 55W LED is built in and runs around the inner perimeter of the frame, so there is nothing to buy or replace. It wires directly to the mains, with no bulb holder.

Is it dimmable?

No. This wall light is not dimmable, so it gives a fixed warm white 3000K output of 800 lumens whenever it is switched on.

Where can I use it?

It is rated IP20 for indoor use in dry rooms, so we would keep it to hallways, stairwells, living rooms and similar spaces rather than bathrooms or outdoors. The wide 120 degree spread suits it to general ambient light.

How is the light distributed?

Part of the light washes forward onto the textured slate-effect panel and part glows out around the edge of the frame, so you get a soft band of warm light with a wide 120 degree spread and no harsh point of glare.
