Description

We stock the Orign as a low-profile LED ceiling light in black, measuring 405mm across so it sits close to the ceiling rather than hanging down. The black metal housing holds an integrated 27W LED that gives 450 lumens of warm white light at 3000K, with a 90 CRI rating so colours in the room read true rather than washed out.

It works well as the main light in bedrooms, hallways, utility rooms and home offices, especially where the ceiling is standard height or a little lower and a pendant would hang too far into the space. The light spreads across a wide 120 degree beam angle for even, general room lighting, and the warm 3000K tone keeps the feel of a living space rather than the cooler look of higher Kelvin LEDs. If you want the same fitting in a larger size, we also stock the 595mm version.

The LED is integrated, so there are no separate bulbs to buy or replace. It runs on standard 220-240V 50Hz mains and is not dimmable, so it needs no dimmer or control box to install. The IP20 rating means it is made for dry indoor rooms only, not bathrooms or outdoor use, and the powder-coated black finish has a low-sheen surface that keeps dust from showing. Its energy class is G.

Frequently Asked

Do I need to buy a bulb?

No. The LED is built into the fitting, giving 27W and 450 lumens of warm white 3000K light, so there are no separate bulbs to buy or replace over its life.

Is it dimmable?

No. This Orign ceiling light is not dimmable, so it runs at a fixed brightness and needs no dimmer switch or control box. It wires straight to standard 220-240V mains.

Can I use it in a bathroom?

No. It carries an IP20 rating, which means it is suited to dry indoor rooms such as bedrooms, hallways and offices, not bathrooms, wet areas or outdoor locations.

How is this different from the larger Orign?

This is the 405mm version. We also stock the same black Orign ceiling light in a larger 595mm size, so you can match the diameter to the room.
