Description

The Orbitas is a two-ring circular LED pendant light with intersecting 60cm and 80cm diameter rings, each fabricated from steel and aluminium and finished in polished rose gold. Integrated LED strips run inside both rings behind faceted clear acrylic diffusers, delivering 68W of 3000K warm white light. The rings hang from a rose gold canopy on four steel suspension cables, creating a sculptural form that appears to float in the space it occupies.

Designed for dining tables, living room centres and open-plan kitchen-dining zones with ceiling heights of 2.4m or higher, the Orbitas provides both ambient and decorative light. The suspension height is adjustable between 70cm minimum and 150cm maximum drop, allowing the pendant to be set to suit the room proportion and furniture beneath. The integrated TRIAC dimmer compatibility means the light level can be adjusted from full brightness down to a low ambient glow using a compatible wall dimmer.

The polished rose gold finish provides warm metallic reflections that catch daylight and artificial light from other sources, adding depth to the fixture beyond the LED output alone. The two rings cross each other at different angles, so the appearance shifts depending on viewing angle — what looks like two overlapping circles from one side may appear as a single elongated form from another. The faceted acrylic diffusers break up hotspots and distribute light more evenly across the ring circumference than smooth diffuser material.

At 5kg, the fixture requires a ceiling mounting point rated for the load, plus the ability to support the four-point suspension system that holds the rings level. The IP20 rating limits the Orbitas to dry interior use only. The CRI rating above 80 means colour rendering is accurate enough for dining and living environments where food, fabrics and skin tones are seen under the light.

Is the Orbitas dimmable?

Yes. The integrated LED is compatible with TRIAC wall dimmers. A dimming set is included with the fixture. Check that your dimmer is rated for LED loads and compatible with TRIAC dimming before installation.

What ceiling height is needed?

The suspension is adjustable between 70cm minimum and 150cm maximum drop. For use above a dining table, the pendant typically sits 700-900mm above the table surface, which works in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above. Higher ceilings allow the full 150cm drop to be used.

Can the rings be rotated or repositioned?

The rings are fixed in their intersecting configuration at the factory. The angle between the rings and their crossing point cannot be adjusted on site. The entire fixture can be rotated around its central suspension axis to change the orientation relative to the room.

Is this suitable for bathrooms?

No. The IP20 rating means the Orbitas is rated for dry interior use only. It is not suitable for bathrooms, wet rooms, or outdoor covered areas where moisture or condensation may occur.
