Orbes Small LED Pendant Light 9W 3000K - Multicoloured

The Orbes Small is a 12cm diameter LED pendant light combining a marbled glass lower hemisphere with a smoke polycarbonate upper hemisphere, separated by a polished chrome metal ring. An integrated 9W LED inside the shade provides 318 lumens at 3000K, casting warm ambient light through both the translucent marble-effect glass and the darker polycarbonate, creating a two-tone glow when lit.

Designed for multiples over kitchen islands, in hallways, or as single accent lighting in alcoves and reading corners, the Orbes adjusts between 30cm and 160cm drop on installation, allowing it to be set at the appropriate height for the ceiling and the task. The compact 12cm sphere suits smaller rooms and lower ceilings where larger pendants would dominate, and works in groups of two or three spaced along a worktop or central hallway route.

The chrome ring dividing the two hemispheres gives the sphere a defined equator when viewed from below, while the black metal canopy and cable run blend into darker ceilings. The marbled glass finish at the base adds visual texture under direct viewing angles, while the smoke polycarbonate upper section softens upward light spill without reflecting glare back down. At 1.01kg the pendant is light enough for plasterboard ceiling installations with standard fixings.

Schuller manufactures the Orbes in Spain, where the company operates production facilities for metal and glass lighting components. The integrated LED is non-replaceable but rated for 25,000+ hours of typical domestic use, equivalent to approximately 10 years at 6 hours per day.

Is the LED replaceable?

No. The 9W LED is integrated into the pendant and is not user-replaceable. It is rated for 25,000+ hours of typical use, which equates to approximately 10 years at 6 hours per day.

What ceiling height does it suit?

The pendant adjusts between 30cm and 160cm drop. For use over a kitchen worktop, a 60-80cm drop from the ceiling typically positions the sphere 70-90cm above the surface. For hallways or alcoves, the shorter 30-40cm drop suits standard 2.4m ceiling heights.

Can I use multiple Orbes pendants together?

Yes. The 12cm compact size and 1.01kg weight make it suitable for installation in groups of two or three spaced along kitchen islands, hallways or dining bars. Each pendant requires its own ceiling rose and electrical connection.

What is the IP rating?

IP20, which means the pendant is suitable for dry indoor locations only. It is not rated for bathroom zones or outdoor use.
