Description

The Schuller Orbes is a 90cm linear bar pendant suspending four glass globe shades in a graduated multicoloured finish, moving from deep bronze through rose copper to polished chrome across the length of the bar. Each 12cm spherical shade pairs smoked polycarbonate with marbled glass, with a black chrome ring defining the equator of the globe. An integrated 29W LED system inside the bar delivers 1,304 lumens at 3000K warm white through the translucent shades.

Designed for dining tables, kitchen islands and gallery-length hallways where linear ceiling space allows a statement piece, the Orbes spans 900mm horizontally and adjusts on installation between 300mm and 1600mm drop from ceiling to shade. The multicoloured metal finish gives the pendant a gradient effect under natural light, with the warmer bronze and rose tones at one end transitioning to cooler chrome at the other. The LED driver supports 0-10V dimming protocol, compatible with most UK trailing-edge and leading-edge dimmers rated for low-voltage LED.

The smoked glass and marbled polycarbonate shades diffuse the 29W LED output to reduce glare while retaining enough brightness for task lighting over a 2-3m dining table or island worktop. The 3.9kg weight requires a ceiling fixing capable of supporting at least 5kg, and the IP20 rating limits use to dry indoor environments. The black chrome rings around each globe create visual separation between the shades when viewed from below, preventing the four spheres from merging into a single mass.

Yes. The integrated LED driver supports 0-10V dimming protocol. This is compatible with most UK trailing-edge and leading-edge dimmers rated for low-voltage LED loads. Confirm dimmer compatibility with your electrician before installation.

The 900mm linear span works over dining tables or kitchen islands between 2m and 3m in length. The four evenly-spaced globes provide balanced illumination across this range without dark spots between the shades.

Can the drop height be adjusted?

Yes. The pendant adjusts between 300mm and 1600mm total drop from ceiling to the base of the shades. For dining tables, a typical installation height is 700-800mm above the table surface. For kitchen islands, 750-900mm above the worktop is common.
