The Opuntia 130 is a long-reach wall light: a slim arm, steadied by a fine tension wire, runs out from a rectangular wall plate to a small dome-shaped head with an integrated LED, so there is no bulb to buy or change. It reaches 128cm from the wall, the head is 8.2cm across and the bracket is 17cm tall. The LED gives 700 lumens from 8.5W at 4000K, with a CRI of 90, so colours look true. It is dimmable on a compatible dimmer and dims to warm, so the light grows warmer as you turn it down. We offer it in five finishes: White, Matt Black, Brushed Bronze, Brushed Brass or Brushed Titanium.

That long reach is the point of it. Fixed to the wall, the Opuntia 130 carries its light well out into the room, so it can hang its head over a dining table, light a reading chair in the living room, or sit beside a bed as a reading light that keeps the bedside table clear. A pair, one either side of a bed, works well. It is rated IP40 for indoor use, so it belongs in dry rooms only.

The arm is jointed at the wall plate and at the head, with the tension wire running its full length, which keeps the line clean and light. Each finish covers the whole fitting, plate, arm and head alike: White and Matt Black sit quietly against a pale or dark wall, while Brushed Bronze, Brushed Brass and Brushed Titanium bring a brushed, metallic look. It runs on 230V mains and is wired in, so it needs a qualified electrician to install it. Plan the position before the wiring goes in: with 128cm of reach, measure from the wall to where you want the light to fall. Our photographs show the brushed titanium version.
