Description

We stock the Onda in white as a surface-mounted LED ceiling light with a cylindrical aluminium housing and a rotating head. The integrated 18W LED gives 1490 lumens of warm white light at 3000K, and because the head turns within its mounting canopy you can aim the beam where you need it once it is installed.

It suits rooms where recessed downlights are not an option, such as those with shallow ceiling voids or concrete slabs above, since the housing sits proud of the ceiling rather than set into it. Angle the head towards a wall for accent light, across the room for general lighting, or downward over a worktop or desk for task lighting. With a CRI of 90 the colour rendering stays true, which helps in kitchens and dressing areas.

The 120 degree beam is wider than most directional spotlights, so it covers a broad area without harsh edges, and at 18W the 1490 lumen output is comparable to a 120W halogen spotlight. The white aluminium finish sits cleanly against a white ceiling. It runs on mains voltage (220-240V, 50Hz) and carries an IP20 rating, so it is for dry indoor locations only.

Frequently Asked

Is this light dimmable?

No. This Onda has a fixed output and is not dimmable, so it is best paired with a standard switch rather than a dimmer.

Can I point the light in a particular direction?

Yes. The head rotates within its mounting canopy, so once it is fitted you can angle the beam towards a wall, across the room or down onto a work surface.

Where can I fit it?

It is rated IP20 for dry indoor use, so it is fine for living rooms, kitchens, hallways and bedrooms, but not for wet or damp areas such as a shower zone. It surface-mounts to the ceiling, which makes it a good choice where a recessed fitting will not fit.

What colour of light does it give?

It gives a warm white 3000K light at 1490 lumens, with a CRI of 90 for accurate colour rendering.
