Description

The Ombra pendant light is a long, slender line of light made to hang level over a table. A cylindrical diffuser, 115.2cm long and 7cm across, runs beneath a slim horizontal bar, and the fitting hangs on fine cables from a ceiling canopy 5.5cm across. We offer it in two finishes, Matt Black or Brushed Brass, so you can match it to the metalwork already in the room. The light source is a 23W integrated LED giving 1059 lumens at a warm 2700K, so there is never a bulb to buy or change. With a CRI of 90, food, timber and textiles on the table look true rather than flat.

Its length and soft, even glow make it a natural choice over a dining table, where it lights the whole run of the table rather than a single pool in the middle. It works just as well in a living room, hung over a long sideboard or a low coffee table. It hangs at a drop of up to 300cm, so it suits a standard ceiling as well as a tall one, and two hung side by side make a strong line over a longer table. It is rated IP20, which means it is for dry rooms indoors only.

The diffuser has a fine textured surface that softens the light along its full length, and each rounded end is closed by a neat disc, so the fitting reads as one clean line whether it is on or off. It is dimmable by DALI or push dimming: DALI suits a home or building lighting control system, while push dimming works from a simple push switch. It runs on 230V mains power and is wired in, so a qualified electrician should install it. Before you order, measure from ceiling to tabletop and settle on your finish, Matt Black or Brushed Brass. Our photographs show the matt black version.
