Description
A set of twelve glass baubles, each 3cm across and all the same round shape. The colours run across the twelve: teal, olive gold, amber, copper and deep red, every one mottled so the tone shifts over the surface of a single bauble and none of them reads flat. The finish is matt rather than shiny. Each bauble is capped with a small dark iron collar and a hanging loop, and hangs from a knotted tie cut from printed sari fabric, in pinks, yellows, oranges and burgundy.
At 3cm these are small. Twelve will fill a wreath, run along a mantelpiece garland or sit in a bowl on a table, and on a full tree they go at the tips of the branches rather than deep in them. Strung along a garland at even spacing, the ties knot straight over it, and they are long enough to loop over a branch without a hook.
The baubles are recycled glass and the caps are iron. Each one is blown by hand, which is where the mottled patterning comes from, so no two carry it the same way. Every tie is cut from a different length of printed fabric, so no two are alike. Indoor use only.

Frequently Asked
How many come in the set?
Twelve.
How big is each bauble?
3cm across.
What colours are in the set?
Mixed. Across the twelve there are teals, olive golds, ambers, coppers and deep reds, each one mottled so the tone shifts over its own surface.
Is the glass recycled?
Yes. The waste glass is collected and washed to take out impurities, then crushed and melted down before it is blown by hand.
How do they hang?
Each bauble has an iron cap with a loop, and a knotted tie of printed sari fabric long enough to go straight over a branch.
How do I look after them?
Wipe them with a dry, soft cloth to take off any dust that builds up. Handle them carefully, do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners, and keep them indoors.
