Description

The Nova is a small recessed downlight built around a round die-cast aluminium ring, set to sit almost flush in a plasterboard or panelled ceiling. What sets it apart from a fixed downlight is the moving head: the source rotates a full 360 degrees and pulls out and tilts up to 90 degrees from vertical, so the beam can be aimed off to one side rather than only straight down. Finished matt black, the ring reads as a neat dark circle against the plaster rather than a bright rim, and at 68mm across it is a compact aperture that runs well in a line or picks out a single spot.

The integrated LED is fixed at a cool white 4000K and gives a 28 degree beam of about 630 lumens, with colour rendering above 90, so surfaces and materials hold their tone closely under a crisper, more neutral light. That tighter beam and the tilting head make it a proper accent fitting: angle it onto a worktop, a shelf or artwork and it grazes the surface rather than flooding the room. The cooler 4000K tone suits a kitchen, a bathroom or a workspace where a brighter, whiter light is wanted, with the black ring keeping glare and clutter down.

The LED is built in and rated for around 50,000 hours, so there is no bulb to fit or replace. The fitting recesses into the ceiling and runs from a driver, which we can supply alongside so it arrives ready to wire in. Rated IP20, it is made for dry indoor rooms.

No, the LED is built in and rated for around 50,000 hours. There is nothing to fit or replace. The head recesses into the ceiling and wires to a driver, which we can supply alongside.

Yes. The source rotates 360 degrees and pulls out and tilts up to 90 degrees from vertical, so you can aim it at a wall or object. Dimming depends on the driver used; run on a compatible dimmable driver the level can be lowered.
