Description

The Nova is a larger recessed downlight built around a round die-cast aluminium ring, set to sit almost flush in a plasterboard or panelled ceiling. Like the rest of the range its head moves: the source rotates a full 360 degrees and pulls out and tilts up to 90 degrees from vertical, so the wide beam can be aimed off to one side rather than only straight down. Finished matt black, the ring reads as a neat dark circle against the plaster rather than a bright rim, and at 154mm across it is a broad aperture that lights a good spread from a single point.

The integrated LED is fixed at a cool white 4000K and gives a wider 56 degree beam of about 2250 lumens, with colour rendering above 90, so surfaces and materials hold their tone closely under a crisper, more neutral light. That output and spread make it a main-light fitting rather than a tight accent: one head covers a kitchen island, a run of worktop or a work area with an even bright wash, and the tilting head lets you throw that light onto a wall instead. The cooler tone suits a kitchen, bathroom or workspace where a brighter, whiter light is wanted, with the black ring keeping glare and clutter down.

The LED is built in and rated for around 50,000 hours, so there is no bulb to fit or replace. The fitting recesses into the ceiling and runs from a driver, which we can supply alongside so it arrives ready to wire in. Rated IP20, it is made for dry indoor rooms.
