Description

The Norma is a 980mm linear bar pendant carrying four ribbed glass shades in clear, amber, smoked grey and amber tones, suspended from a matt black metal canopy with satin brass detailing. Each shade houses an integrated E27 LED lamp, and the ribbed glass creates vertical light striations when lit. The four shades sit at staggered heights along the bar, with two cylindrical smoked grey cages alternating with two rounded clear and amber globes.

Designed for kitchen islands, dining tables and open-plan living spaces where a linear light run of 1m or more is needed, the Norma pairs decorative glass with functional task lighting. The adjustable cable drop allows installation between 500mm and 2000mm from the ceiling, giving flexibility across different room heights. The matt black bar and satin brass lamp holders provide a contemporary industrial frame that contrasts with the traditional ribbed glass technique used on the shades.

Each glass shade is mouth-blown and hand-finished with vertical ribbing that catches and refracts the light from the E27 LED inside. The mix of clear, amber and smoked grey glass creates tonal variation across the four pendants when lit, with the smoked grey shades casting a softer, diffused light and the clear and amber shades allowing more direct illumination. The satin brass detailing on the lamp holders and ceiling plate softens the industrial black frame and adds warmth to the overall palette.

What is the recommended hanging height above a dining table?

For a dining table, hang the Norma 600-750mm above the table surface. This positions the glass shades within the cone of vision without obstructing sightlines across the table. The adjustable cable drop allows the height to be set during installation.

Are the LED lamps replaceable?

Yes. The Norma uses four E27 LED lamps which can be replaced when they reach end of life. The Specification table lists 4x20W, though individual E27 LEDs typically run at lower wattages — please check the included lamps for exact wattage.

Can the Norma be installed on a sloped ceiling?

The pendant is designed for horizontal ceiling installation. Installation on a sloped ceiling would require additional mounting hardware not supplied with the fitting, and may affect the visual balance of the four staggered shades.

Is the Norma dimmable?

Dimmer compatibility depends on the specific E27 LED lamps supplied. Check the lamp packaging or contact us before pairing with a dimmer switch to confirm compatibility.
