Description

The Norma is a 300mm single-light pendant with a clear fluted glass shade shaped like a compressed globe, suspended from a matt black ceiling rose with satin brass stem detailing. The glass is moulded with vertical ribs that catch and refract light from the E27 bulb inside, creating a textured glow that projects outwards and upwards when lit. The brass stem extends through the black rose and into the glass fitting, connecting the two materials visually.

Designed for kitchens, dining tables and hallways where a decorative pendant provides both task and ambient light, the Norma sits between contemporary and traditional styling. The clear glass and brass accents suit warm-toned interiors, while the matt black canopy grounds the fitting in modern schemes. The 200cm maximum drop allows for installation in rooms with ceiling heights from 2.4m to 3m, with the cable adjustable during fitting to position the pendant 600-800mm above a dining surface or 700-900mm above a kitchen worktop.

The fluted glass shade measures 300mm diameter by 280mm height, giving the pendant a substantial presence without overwhelming smaller rooms. The matt black finish on the ceiling rose is a powder-coat that resists fingerprints and dust, while the satin brass stem has a low-sheen finish that softens reflections. The pendant accepts any E27 bulb up to 20W (sold separately), with most users pairing it with a 6-10W LED filament bulb in 2700K to complement the warm brass accent.

What bulb does the Norma take?

The pendant uses a standard E27 bulb up to 20W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED filament bulb between 6-10W and 2700K to complement the brass detailing and create a warm ambient glow.

Can the drop height be adjusted?

Yes. The maximum drop is 200cm from ceiling to the base of the shade, with a minimum of 45cm. The cable is adjustable during installation, allowing the pendant to be positioned at the height that suits your room and table.

Is the glass shade removable for cleaning?

Yes. The fluted glass shade can be removed by unscrewing it from the brass fitting. Clean with a soft dry cloth or a slightly damp microfibre cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or soaking the glass while the electrical components are attached.

What ceiling height is needed?

The Norma works in rooms with ceiling heights from 2.4m upwards. For a dining table the pendant typically hangs 700-800mm above the surface, which suits standard ceiling heights of 2.4-2.7m. Higher ceilings allow for a longer drop if desired.
