Description

We stock the Nordis in black as a compact solar-powered outdoor wall light, measuring 168mm. It runs on its own solar panel rather than mains power, so there is no wiring to install. An integrated 2W LED gives 90 lumens of warm white light at 3000K with an 80 CRI, and the black aluminium body is rated IP65 for full protection against dust and water jets from any direction.

We fit this where running a cable is awkward, such as sheds, outbuildings, garage walls, fence posts and balconies. The panel charges the 3.7V battery through the day, and a built-in dusk sensor switches the light on automatically after dark. The 85 degree beam points down and forward to light a doorway, a few steps or a short path, without throwing light across into next door.

Fitting is simple: the rear bracket takes two screws, with no electrician needed. The LED is dimmable, so output eases back as the battery runs down to help the charge last through the night. The frame is powder-coated black aluminium that stands up to weather and UV, and the fitting carries a G energy rating. If you want a larger version, we also stock the Nordis at 350mm in the same black finish.

No. It is fully solar-powered and charges its own 3.7V battery through the panel during the day, so there is no cable to run and no electrician required. You simply fix the rear bracket to the wall with two screws.
