This is a table lamp in black iron, built around a single curved stem that rises from a round base and arcs over into an asymmetrical shade with a pointed tip. The lamp is 95% iron and 5% PVC. It stands 50cm tall, 34cm long and 24cm wide, a comfortable size for a desk or a side table that will not crowd either. The shade is 26.5cm long, 23.5cm wide and just 8cm tall, so it reads as a low, broad brim rather than a deep drum, and the curve of the stem leaves the space beneath it open.

On a desk it sits to one side and carries the shade out over your work, which makes it a natural reading and task lamp for a study or a home office. It suits a living room just as well, set on a side table next to an armchair, where it gives you light for a book or a quiet evening. The 150cm black cable gives fair reach to a nearby socket, and the switch sits on the cord, so you can turn it on and off without reaching up to the shade.
