Description
The Nirvi is a tall display cabinet, 190cm high, 64cm wide and 45cm deep, standing on an open iron base rather than straight on the floor. The carcass is mango wood, left pale so the grain and the darker streaks running through it stay visible. The single door is a glazed panel in a dark iron frame, hung on iron hinges with a plain iron pull, and behind it three shelves divide the interior into four.
At 190cm it is tall for its 64cm width, which is what suits it to a hallway or a short wall where a sideboard would not fit, and the 45cm depth is shallow enough not to crowd a passage. Because the door is glazed, whatever goes inside stays visible rather than shut away. The iron base lifts the carcass clear of the floor, so the cabinet clears a skirting board and reads lighter than its 56.7kg.
The carcass is mango wood, shaped and assembled by hand, and the door frame, the hinges, the pull and the base are iron, treated to a timeworn patina rather than left bright. The cabinet is listed in black, and it is the ironwork that is black; the mango wood is left in its own tone. The Nirvi range also runs to a shorter cabinet and to a sideboard.

Frequently Asked
How big is the cabinet?
190cm high, 64cm wide and 45cm deep.
How many shelves are there?
Three, dividing the interior into four.
Is the door glazed?
Yes. It is a single glass panel set in an iron frame.
Is the whole cabinet black?
No. The ironwork is black and the mango wood is left pale.
How heavy is it?
56.7kg.
How do I look after it?
The surfaces are sealed, but they still want regular attention. Wipe them with a soft dry cloth to take off dust and moisture, always in the direction of the grain, and use mild soap and water sparingly rather than letting water stand. Keep harsh chemicals and abrasive materials away from the finish, use coasters and mats, and mop up spills straight away with a dry paper towel, then a damp lint-free cloth, then dry. Keep it out of strong direct sunlight, which fades the wood, and away from extremes of heat and humidity, which can crack and split it. Rubber and plastic left in contact with the finish can react with it. Take professional advice on any scratch or stain.
