Description
The Nimes is a single pendant light with a 12cm-diameter capsule-shaped metal shade finished in matte black, housing an integrated 10W LED that directs light downward through the open base. The shade sits 13cm tall and hangs on an adjustable cable that can be set between 30cm minimum and 160cm maximum drop, allowing it to be positioned close to worktops or lowered over dining surfaces depending on ceiling height.
Designed for kitchens, breakfast bars, hallways and reading corners where focused downward light is needed without visual clutter, the Nimes works as a single pendant or in a repeated row of two to four units over longer kitchen islands or counter runs. The 10W integrated LED provides task-level illumination directly beneath the fitting while the capsule form keeps peripheral glare low. The pendant weighs 0.65kg and fits standard UK ceiling roses rated for Class 1 fittings.
The matte black finish absorbs rather than reflects ambient light, giving the pendant a solid graphic presence against white or light-coloured ceilings. The smooth metal surface shows no visible seams or fixings, and the cylindrical form reads as a single object rather than an assembly of parts. The 12cm diameter keeps the visual footprint compact, making it suitable for smaller spaces or tighter groupings where larger pendants would dominate. The IP20 rating limits the Nimes to dry interior locations — hallways, living rooms, bedrooms, kitchens and dining areas where moisture and dust are controlled.

Frequently Asked
Is the LED replaceable?
The 10W LED is integrated into the fitting. It is not user-replaceable. The LED is rated for approximately 25,000-30,000 hours of use, which equates to 8-10 years at typical residential usage rates.
What cable length is provided?
The pendant cable is adjustable on installation between 30cm and 160cm drop. The final drop height is set during fitting by shortening the cable to the required length and securing it inside the ceiling canopy.
Can it be used in a bathroom?
No. The IP20 rating means the Nimes is suitable only for dry interior locations. It is not rated for bathrooms, wet rooms, covered outdoor areas or any location where moisture or dust ingress is expected.
How many pendants are needed over a kitchen island?
For a standard 1.2-1.5m island, one Nimes pendant centred over the worktop provides focused task light. For islands 1.8m or longer, two or three pendants spaced 60-80cm apart give more even coverage without shadows between the light pools.
