Description
The Nimes is a single-light cylindrical pendant with a matt black ceiling canopy and a deep brown metal shade measuring 10cm diameter by 16cm height. The pendant houses a downward-facing GU10 bulb fitting (bulb sold separately) that directs light through the open base of the cylinder, casting focused illumination suitable for task and accent lighting over kitchen islands, dining tables and bar counters.
Designed for ceiling heights between 2.4m and 3.5m, the Nimes offers an adjustable drop between 30cm minimum and 160cm maximum, giving flexibility to position the shade 60-80cm above a worktop or 70-90cm above a dining table depending on the room proportions. The black fabric cable conceals the wiring run between canopy and shade, maintaining a clean vertical line. Installation requires connection to a standard UK ceiling rose rated for the fitting's 0.52kg weight.
The combination of matt black metalwork and the warm brown shade gives the Nimes a subdued presence that pairs comfortably with natural oak, walnut and darker timber furniture without the high contrast of chrome or brass. The IP20 rating restricts use to dry indoor environments — living rooms, dining rooms, kitchens and hallways. The cylindrical form measures just 10cm across, making it suitable for narrower installation points where wider pendants would feel visually heavy.

Frequently Asked
What bulb does the Nimes take?
The pendant takes a single GU10 bulb up to 10W, sold separately. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED GU10 between 5-7W and 2700K-3000K for focused downlighting over kitchen islands or dining tables.
How is the drop adjusted?
The cable length is adjustable between 30cm and 160cm during installation. The excess cable is housed inside the ceiling canopy once the desired drop height is set and secured.
Can multiple Nimes pendants be grouped?
Yes. The narrow 10cm diameter makes the Nimes well-suited to cluster installations over longer kitchen islands or dining tables. Space pendants 40-60cm apart for balanced coverage without visual crowding.
Is the Nimes suitable for bathrooms?
No. The IP20 rating restricts use to dry indoor environments only. For bathroom installation an IP44-rated fitting is required.
