Nikita Wooden Christmas Tree Decorations Set of 6 - Multi

This is a set of six wooden nutcracker figures made to hang on the tree, each 13cm tall, 4.5cm long and 4cm wide. They are made of pine and MDF and painted in a multicoloured palette, with painted faces, curled moustaches, tufted beards and full uniforms right down to the boots. The six are not identical: there is a drummer with his drum, a guard in a tall shaggy busby carrying a rifle, crowned figures with sabres at their sides and soldiers in star-badged caps holding a staff. At 13cm tall each one is a comfortable size for a tree ornament, big enough to show off its detail and small enough to hang among your baubles.

Hang them on the Christmas tree by the thread fixed at the top of each hat, or loop them onto a wreath, a garland or a wall-hung tree. Each figure also stands on its own flat base, so you can line them along a mantelpiece, a windowsill or a bookshelf as a little parade. Spread through the branches, they give the whole tree a traditional nutcracker theme. They suit anyone who loves a classic Christmas look, and with their mix of characters they make a cheerful gift for someone decorating their first home.

Each figure is made of pine and MDF. Pine is a light softwood, and MDF is a dense, smooth board made from fine wood fibres, which gives a clean surface for painted detail. A polyester thread is attached to every figure for hanging, so there are no separate hooks to hunt for. The figures come in a card box with a clear window, each in its own compartment, which also makes it easy to store them tidily from one Christmas to the next. For a balanced tree, hang the matching characters on opposite sides and keep the drummer near the front, where his drum catches the eye.
