Description

The Niche is an 81cm diameter circular LED pendant light with an integrated 41W 3000K LED ring enclosed within a white powder-coated metal frame and opal rubber diffuser. The circular form measures just 20mm in profile depth, creating a thin halo of warm white light suspended horizontally beneath the ceiling.

Designed for dining tables, kitchen islands and open-plan living areas with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above, the Niche provides general ambient lighting across a 3-4m table or central seating zone. The pendant is suspended on adjustable steel cables with a 2150mm maximum drop, allowing the fitting to be positioned 700-900mm above a work surface or dining table depending on ceiling height. The transparent PVC cable blends with most ceiling finishes.

The white powder-coated metal frame resists fingerprints and minor scuffs better than gloss-painted equivalents, while the opal rubber diffuser distributes light evenly without creating visible hotspots or shadowing underneath the ring. The IP20 rating limits the Niche to dry indoor use only. The LED is non-dimmable and factory-set to 3000K warm white, producing a soft ambient light suitable for residential and hospitality interiors.

Is the Niche dimmable?

No. The integrated LED driver does not support dimming. The light operates at full 41W output when switched on.

What ceiling height is needed?

The 2150mm cable allows installation in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above. For a dining table or kitchen island the pendant typically sits 700-900mm above the surface. The cable can be shortened during installation if less drop is required.

Can it be used in a bathroom?

No. The IP20 rating means the Niche is suitable for dry indoor locations only. It cannot be installed in bathrooms, kitchens above sinks or hobs, or any space where moisture or steam is present.

What size table does the 81cm version suit?

The 81cm diameter works well above rectangular dining tables of 1.6-2.2m length or circular tables up to 1.2m diameter. For larger tables, multiple Niche pendants can be positioned in a row or the larger 120cm version may be more appropriate.
