Ngolo Small Giant Glass Bauble - Aged Smoke

A single bauble 15cm across, blown from recycled glass and left frosted rather than clear. The upper half is a pale grey-white and the lower half a mottled band of gold, bronze and dark brown that runs round it like a tide line, ragged where the two meet. An embossed metal cap sits on the neck with a ring through it, and a taupe cotton velvet tie hangs from the ring.

At 15cm across this is a bauble to hang on its own rather than among others: from a ceiling hook, a beam, a curtain pole or a bare branch set in a pot, and several can be strung together into a garland. Hung at eye height the frosted glass reads as a solid pale shape with the speckled band low on it rather than as a point of light.

The glass is recycled and hand blown, so the frosting and the speckled band fall differently on every bauble and no two are alike. The tie is cotton velvet. Ngolo also runs at 20cm across, and as a set of four 8cm baubles in the same aged smoke.
