Description

The large Ngolo is a single bauble 20cm across, hand blown from recycled glass and frosted all over rather than left clear. Pale grey-white covers the upper half and a mottled band of gold, olive and dark brown covers the lower, with the boundary between them running ragged rather than level. The neck carries an embossed metal cap and a plain ring, and a taupe cotton velvet tie hangs from it.

Hanging it from a ceiling hook, a beam or a curtain pole is what the size suits, and several can be strung together into a garland. Hung two together against a plain wall, the frosted glass reads as a pale solid shape with the speckled band low on it. At 0.7kg it weighs nearly three times the 15cm Ngolo.

The glass is recycled and hand blown, so the frosting and the speckled band fall differently on every bauble. The tie is cotton velvet. Ngolo also runs at 15cm across, and as a set of four 8cm baubles in the same aged smoke.
