Description

The Nebula is a 12cm diameter LED pendant light with a dual-layer shade construction: an outer shell of smoked transparent glass over an inner cone-shaped polycarbonate diffuser. The integrated 5W LED sits inside the polycarbonate cone, casting 450lm of 3000K warm white light that diffuses through both layers, giving the glass a soft glow while the inner cone glows more intensely. The polished chrome canopy and cable suspension match the mirrored finish on the glass.

Designed for task and accent lighting in kitchens, breakfast bars, home offices and bedside positions, the Nebula works as a single fitting above a small worktop or reading chair, or in multiples of two or three over a peninsula or dining table. The adjustable drop ranges from 30cm minimum to 150cm maximum, allowing the pendant to be set 60-70cm above a worktop or 70-80cm above a dining surface depending on ceiling height. The 18cm shade height and 12cm diameter keep the visual bulk compact.

The smoked transparent glass picks up reflections and ambient light, giving the shade a different appearance depending on whether the LED is on or off and what time of day it is. When lit, the inner polycarbonate cone glows warm amber-gold while the outer glass shell softens the output and adds a mirrored sheen. The 0.78kg weight is light enough to hang from standard ceiling roses without additional bracing. IP20 rating limits the fitting to dry indoor locations only.

Is the Nebula dimmable?

The integrated 5W LED runs on standard 230V mains. Dimmer compatibility depends on the specific dimmer switch model. Contact us before pairing with a dimmer to confirm compatibility with LED loads.

What ceiling height is needed?

The adjustable drop ranges from 30cm to 150cm. For use above a worktop or breakfast bar the pendant typically sits 60-70cm above the surface, requiring a ceiling height of at least 2.2m. Above a dining table, position the pendant 70-80cm above the surface.

Can it be used in a bathroom?

No. The IP20 rating means the fitting is only suitable for dry indoor locations. It cannot be used in bathrooms, kitchens directly above sinks, or any location where it might be exposed to moisture or steam.

How is the glass shade cleaned?

Switch off the mains supply before cleaning. Wipe the outer glass shell with a dry microfibre cloth. For stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable. Do not use chemical sprays or abrasive cleaners on the glass or chrome.
