Description

The Nebula is a 5-light cluster pendant with five individual smoked glass shades suspended from a polished chrome ceiling canopy. Each shade is a double-layer construction: an outer smoked glass shell paired with a clear polycarbonate inner cone that holds a 5W LED module. The LEDs are integrated and non-replaceable, producing warm 3000K light at a combined 25W output across all five pendants.

Designed for dining tables, kitchen islands and stairwell voids, the Nebula uses field-adjustable cables that allow the five shades to be configured in a tight vertical cluster or spread into a looser cascade. The cables cut to length on site, with minimum drop of 65cm and maximum drop of 170cm, giving flexibility for ceilings between 2.4m and 3.2m. The 38cm diameter canopy fits standard UK ceiling roses and the polished chrome finish pairs cleanly with contemporary, monochrome and modern classic interiors.

Each smoked glass shade measures approximately 10cm diameter and tapers like a miniature lantern. The smoked finish softens the LED point source inside while the clear polycarbonate inner cone creates depth and layering when lit. The combined weight of 3.37kg requires a ceiling joist or suitable fixings for safe installation. The fitting is non-dimmable and rated IP20 for dry indoor use only.

The Nebula is part of Schuller's contemporary lighting collection and pairs well with marble worktops, glass splashbacks and brushed metal hardware. The smoked glass gives a warmer, less stark effect than clear glass while maintaining the clean lines of a modern cluster pendant.

Is the Nebula dimmable?

No. The integrated LEDs are non-dimmable and should be wired to a standard switched circuit only. Connecting to a dimmer switch may cause flickering or damage to the driver.

Can the cable lengths be adjusted after installation?

The cables are cut to length during installation and locked in place with gravity toggles at the canopy. Once cut and installed, they cannot be easily extended. Set the desired drop configuration before cutting the cables and securing the toggles.

What ceiling height works best?

The adjustable drop of 65-170cm suits ceiling heights between 2.4m and 3.2m. For dining tables, position the lowest shade approximately 70-80cm above the table surface. For open stairwells or double-height spaces, the full 170cm drop can be used to create a vertical cascade.

How is the smoked glass cleaned?

Wipe the smoked glass shades with a soft, dry microfibre cloth. For stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth is acceptable. Avoid spraying water or cleaning products directly onto the glass, as moisture may enter the polycarbonate inner cone or LED housing.
