Description

The Nash is a single pendant light combining a white ceramic shade with a dark horizontal stripe band, suspended on a heritage brass chain and natural jute rope. The ceramic shade measures 254mm in diameter with a gently flared profile that directs light downward and slightly outward, making it suitable for task lighting over counters, islands and dining tables. The pendant takes a single E27 bulb up to 60W (sold separately).

Designed for kitchen islands, breakfast bars and dining nooks, the Nash works as a single fitting over a compact table or in multiples spaced 600-800mm apart over longer islands. The adjustable drop ranges from 699mm to 2265mm, allowing installation in standard 2.4m ceiling height kitchens or taller open-plan spaces. The jute rope section sits between the brass canopy and brass chain, adding texture without concealing the cable — the natural fibre wrapping provides visual interest against painted ceilings or exposed beams.

The ceramic shade is hand-painted with the dark stripe applied before glazing, so the finish is durable and does not chip or fade under heat from the bulb. The heritage brass finish on the canopy, chain links and lamp holder has a warm, slightly aged tone that sits between polished brass and antique brass. The combination of white ceramic, natural jute and warm brass suits coastal, transitional and bohemian interiors, as well as modern farmhouse kitchens where mixed materials add depth without formality.

What bulb does it take?

The Nash takes a single E27 (Edison screw) bulb up to 60W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED bulb between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K for focused task lighting over a worktop or dining surface.

Can the drop height be adjusted?

Yes. The 1524mm chain can be shortened on installation to achieve any drop between the 699mm minimum and 2265mm maximum. For a kitchen island the pendant typically hangs 700-800mm above the worktop surface.

Is the dark stripe painted or a separate material?

The dark stripe is hand-painted onto the ceramic before glazing, so it is sealed under the glaze layer and will not chip, fade or peel under heat from the bulb.

How is the ceramic shade cleaned?

Wipe gently with a dry or barely-damp microfibre cloth. The glazed ceramic surface is non-porous and resists dust, but avoid soaking the jute rope section above the shade as natural fibres can discolour if wet.
