Our Nara bowl is a small, shallow stoneware bowl, 13cm across and 4.5cm tall, finished in a glossy blue glaze. Inside, the glaze breaks into a fine speckled pattern that radiates out from a pale centre, rather like ripples spreading across a pool. The rim is softly uneven instead of perfectly round, with a thin darker line along its edge, which gives the bowl a relaxed, organic outline. It holds 500ml and weighs 0.26KG, and it sits comfortably in one hand.

As a 500ml bowl it suits everyday servings: yoghurt and fruit at breakfast, cereal, a side of rice or salad at dinner, or a scoop of ice cream afterwards.
