Description

The Nans S/21 Outrack is a woven pendant light for outdoor spaces, from the Outrack range of track lighting. Its rounded, cylindrical shade is an open lattice of synthetic fibre in red with orange and beige, set on a brown structure, and the weave lets the light glow through it. The shade is 24.7cm tall and 21.6cm across, and it hangs on a suspension length of 200cm. Inside is a 12.6W integrated LED, so there is no bulb to buy or change, and a CRI of 90 keeps faces, food and planting looking true to colour. It comes in a choice of three colour temperatures, 2400K, 2700K or 3000K, and gives 402lm, 410lm or 424lm depending on the version.

Rated IP54 and made for outdoor use, it suits a garden, a patio, a pergola or a terrace where you eat and sit out on long summer evenings. Hang one over an outdoor dining table, or run several along a track above a seating area. As a track pendant it needs two parts, each sold separately, before it gives any light: the Outrack track it fits, which holds the pendant and carries its power, and an Outrack 24V power supply for the track, which feeds the track at 24V DC. It will not work without both. Choose 2400K for the warmest glow, or 3000K for a slightly crisper light.

The pendant combines stainless steel and aluminium with its synthetic fibre weave, and the IP54 rating means it is protected against dust and splashing water. It is a Class III fitting, powered at 24V DC through its track rather than directly from the mains. The mains side of the system is for a qualified electrician to install, so it is worth planning the track, the power supply and that work together before you choose your colour temperature.
