Description

The Nans PF/21 is a woven outdoor ceiling light: one rounded shade of open lattice weave set on a short stem beneath a round Graphite Brown canopy. The shade is synthetic fibre in Beige (with Light Blue and Light Grey), and the structure is stainless steel and aluminium. It stands 31.7cm tall overall, with a shade 24.7cm tall and 21.6cm across. Inside sits an integrated LED of 9.5W giving 386lm of warm 2700K light with a CRI of 90, so there is no bulb to buy or change, and faces and colours look natural beneath it. The light glows softly through the open weave.

It is rated IP54 and made for outdoor use, so we would put it on a covered porch, a veranda, a balcony ceiling, under a pergola or beneath the eaves by a front door. One fitting gives a gentle, welcoming light rather than a floodlight, which suits evening meals outside, a terrace where you sit and talk, or the approach to your door. It is TRIAC dimmable, so with a compatible dimmer you can lower it to a quiet glow late in the evening. The compact size means it works well in a low porch where a pendant would hang too far down.

The structure is stainless steel and aluminium in Graphite Brown, a dark, warm finish that sits quietly against brick, render or timber, and the shade is woven from synthetic fibre in Beige (with Light Blue and Light Grey). The lattice is open enough to let the light through and gives the shade its texture by day as well as after dark. It runs on mains power at 230V and is a Class I fitting, wired in to the mains by a qualified electrician. Once it is up, there is no bulb to replace, so it simply needs switching on.
