Description

Two round side tables that nest, built in iron and finished in brass, each with a mirrored glass top set into a rim. The frames are open: a pair of uprights carries the top and runs down into a base that is a half hoop rather than a full circle, which is what lets one table slide in under the other instead of stopping against its legs. The brass is warm and slightly uneven over the metal, catching more light on the uprights than in the curve of the base.

The set measures 61.5cm tall and 40cm across, and the second table sits lower and narrower so it slides in beneath the first. Nested they take up the floor of one table; drawn apart, one goes beside a chair and the other by a sofa. The tops are mirrored, so whatever stands on them is doubled.

The frames are iron and the tops are glass. The brass is a finish laid over the iron rather than solid brass, and its depth varies across each frame, reading lighter where the metal turns. The Nakuru range also holds a coffee table, a console table, a drinks table and a desk in the same iron and brass.
