Description

A round two tier table 67cm tall and 46cm across, built from slim brass finished iron. Four uprights carry two clear glass shelves, and each shelf sits inside a gallery of short vertical bars running round its edge. A plain ring joins the four legs at the foot. The brass is warm and slightly mottled rather than evenly polished.

The lower shelf takes bottles and the things that go with them, and the upper one takes glasses and a shaker. At 46cm across it takes the footprint of a side table, and at 67cm the top shelf stands at hand height beside a chair rather than down near the floor. The gallery of bars round each shelf stands above the glass, so nothing slides straight off an edge.

The frame is iron in a brass finish and both shelves are glass. The glass is clear, so the lower shelf and whatever stands on it are visible through the upper one. The Nakuru range also runs to a coffee table, a console table and a desk in the same iron and glass.
