Description

A round leather pouffe, 30cm high and 65cm across. The top is a disc of leather seamed across its centre and joined to the side band by a raised welt that runs right round the circumference, with a single vertical seam down the side. The tone shifts across the hide, lighter over the crown of the top and deeper towards the base, and the top carries more shine than the sides.

At 30cm it sits lower than a dining chair and close to the height of a sofa cushion, so both feet reach it from a low chair or the end of a sofa. It is made as a footrest and as extra seating, and 65cm across is wide enough to sit on rather than only rest on. It stands clear on the floor rather than pushed up against anything, which is the space it needs to be used either way.

The leather is goat hide, a by-product of herds farmed by local herdsmen. It is dyed with vegetable extract and tree bark rather than pigment, which is why the tone is uneven across the hide and why it will deepen further with use. The filling is FR polyester. Nadu is made in this one size and this one colourway.
