Description

The Murané Street track ceiling light is a single globe of Smoke Grey glass held close beneath its track by a short collar in a Brushed Champagne finish. The glass has a gently rippled surface that breaks the light into soft highlights, and the tinted grey sits well against the warm champagne collar. It measures 10cm across, small enough to use in numbers along a run. Inside is an integrated LED, so there is no bulb to buy or replace. It draws 4W and gives 167 lumens of warm 2700K light with a CRI of 90, so skin tones, wood and food look true beneath it.

It suits a kitchen, where a line of these globes over an island or a table gives a gentle, decorative light. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only. It needs three things, each sold separately: the Murané Street 48V track it fits, which carries the power and holds the light; a Murané Street 48V power supply for the track, which feeds the track; and a remote 48V DC driver, which converts the mains supply to the 48V DC the light runs on. It does not work without them. Because power runs through the track, you can plan the run first and then decide where each globe sits along it.

The Smoke Grey glass and Brushed Champagne finish are the whole of its look: there is no shade or frame, only the globe and its collar. It is wired in to the mains by an electrician, through its driver, so it is a job for a qualified electrician. It is dimmable on DALI, so it needs a DALI control system to dim, which your electrician can set up alongside the driver. Choosing the driver, the power supply and the DALI control together keeps the whole run simple to install. The track in our photographs is not included.
