Description

The Murané Street is a track ceiling light with a small round globe of Pink glass, 10cm in diameter, set beneath a short collar in a Brushed Champagne finish. The glass has a rippled, uneven surface, so the light inside glows through with a warm rosy tint rather than a hard point of brightness. It uses an integrated LED, so there is no bulb to buy or change. It draws 4W and gives 167lm at 2700K, a warm white, with a CRI of 90, so colours and food look true beneath it. It is dimmable on DALI, which means it needs a compatible DALI dimmer or control.

This is a system fitting rather than a stand-alone light. It fits the Murané Street 48V track, sold separately, and the track needs a Murané Street 48V power supply, also sold separately, to feed it. The light is powered from the mains, wired in by an electrician, through a remote 48V DC driver, which is not included and is sold separately; it converts the mains to the 48V DC the light runs on. With those in place, a line of these small globes works well over a kitchen island or along a kitchen ceiling, where several points of warm, tinted light feel friendlier than one bright fitting. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry indoor rooms only.

We like how simply it is put together: a globe of Pink glass, a Brushed Champagne collar and the LED inside, running at 48V DC as a Class III fitting. The Brushed Champagne tone sits happily beside brass or warm metal handles in a kitchen, and the Pink glass adds colour even when the light is off. Because it runs from a track and its own driver, plan the whole run together before you order: the track length, the power supply and the driver. Installation is for a qualified electrician.
