Description

The Murané Street track ceiling light is a round globe of Caramel glass, 15cm in diameter, set beneath a short collar in a Brushed Champagne finish. The glass has a rippled, gently uneven surface that catches and bends the light, so the whole globe glows warmly when it is lit. Inside sits an integrated LED of 4W, giving 167 lumens of warm white light at 2700K with a CRI of 90, so food, fabrics and skin tones look true beneath it.

This is a fitting for the Murané Street track system and works only as part of it, so plan the whole run together. It needs the Murané Street 48V track it fits, sold separately, which holds it to the ceiling and carries power along the run; a Murané Street 48V power supply for the track, sold separately, which feeds that track; and a remote 48V DC driver, sold separately, which powers the light. The system is mains powered and wired in by an electrician through the driver. We like a few spaced along one track over a kitchen island or breakfast bar, where a line of glowing globes lights the length of the counter. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms indoors only.

The collar is in a Brushed Champagne finish, a soft, pale tone that suits the warmth of the Caramel glass. It dims on DALI, so it needs a DALI control to dim. It is a Class III fitting running at 48V DC. Being wired in, it is for a qualified electrician to install, and with the LED built in there is no bulb to buy or change. The track in our photographs is not included.
