Description

The Murané Street track ceiling light is a small globe of caramel glass, 10cm across, held on a brushed champagne collar beneath a 48V ceiling track. The glass has a rippled, uneven surface that catches the light, and the caramel colour gives a warm, honeyed glow when it is lit. Inside sits an integrated LED, so there is no bulb to buy or change. It draws 4W and gives 167 lumens at 2700K, a warm white, with a CRI of 90, so food, wood and fabric keep their true colours beneath it. It is dimmable with DALI control.

We think it suits a kitchen best, where a few of these small globes along a track over an island or a dining table give a soft, warm pool of light at a gentle scale. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry indoor rooms only. It is one part of a track system, and it needs three things sold separately to work. It fits the Murané Street 48V track, sold separately, which carries the light along the ceiling. The track is fed by a Murané Street 48V power supply, also sold separately. Power comes from the mains, wired in by an electrician, through a remote 48V DC driver, sold separately and not included, which supplies the 48V DC the light runs on.

The glass is caramel and the collar is finished in brushed champagne, a soft, muted tone that sits well with warm woods, stone and brass. It is a Class III fitting running at 48V DC, and the whole track system is for a qualified electrician to install. Plan where the track runs early on, so the globes sit exactly where you want the light. The track in our photographs is not included.
