Description

The Murané R is a ring chandelier: a slim band in a Brushed Champagne finish, 110cm across, carrying eight spheres of Smoke Grey glass, each 10cm across. Some spheres sit on top of the ring and others hang beneath it, so the light is spread around the whole circle rather than gathered at one point. The light source is integrated LED, so there are no bulbs to buy. It draws 21W and gives 1177lm at 2700K, a warm white, with a CRI of 90, which keeps skin tones, wood and fabrics looking true. The Smoke Grey glass sets a cool, muted note against the warmth of the Brushed Champagne ring.

At 110cm across, this chandelier suits a generous room. Hang it over a long dining table, where the ring frames the setting and the spheres light it from every side, or centre it in a living room with enough ceiling height for the full circle to read from the sofa. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms indoors only. It comes without its canopy, and no version with one exists: you will need a Murané R canopy, sold separately, which is the ceiling part the chandelier hangs from. It is wired in to the mains by an electrician through a remote 24V DC driver, sold separately and not included, which turns the mains supply into the 24V DC the LEDs run on.

The ring wears its Brushed Champagne finish all the way round, a soft, warm tone that sits well with oak, walnut, stone and deeper paint colours, while the Smoke Grey spheres keep the piece calm rather than bright. It is a Class III fitting running at 24V DC, and it is for a qualified electrician to install. When you plan the room, allow for the full 110cm span so the ring has space to breathe above the table or seating.
