Description

The Murané R is a large ring chandelier: a slim band in a Brushed Champagne finish, 140cm across, with twelve spheres of Pink glass spaced around it, some sitting above the band and some hanging beneath it. Each sphere is 10cm across, and the glass has a rippled, textured surface that catches the light. The light source is an integrated LED, so there is no bulb to buy or change. It draws 32W and gives 1765 lumens of warm 2700K light, with a CRI of 90, which keeps skin tones, food and fabrics looking true to their colour.

At 140cm across, this is a chandelier for a generous room. Centred over a large dining table, the ring of spheres places light around the table rather than at one central point. In a spacious living room it works as the main ceiling light, hung in the centre where the ring reads clearly from every seat. The warm 2700K light suits both rooms in the evening, and the Pink glass gives the spheres a soft blush. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms indoors only.

The Brushed Champagne finish has a soft, even sheen rather than a mirror shine, which keeps the band quiet against the glass. It is a Class III fitting, wired in to the mains by a qualified electrician through a remote 24V DC driver, sold separately, which converts the mains supply to the 24V DC the chandelier runs on. The chandelier comes without its canopy, and no version with one exists, so you will also need a Murané R canopy, sold separately, which is the ceiling piece it hangs from. Plan for both alongside the chandelier itself, so your electrician has them ready on the day.
